Obtained from the dried kernel of the almond tree, Almond Oil – Sweet is refined and has a clear light liquid appearance. This oil is considered to be very lightweight and a welcome addition to cosmetic formulations that require nourishing qualities, high in Vitamin A, E and B and oleic and linoleic essential fatty acids. Almond Oil – Sweet is also popular in culinary applications requiring baking or frying because of its stability at higher heats.
Tea Tree Oil – Australian (EHM1141) is the essential oil offered at a great price this month only. Australian Tea Tree Oil is clear in color with a very strong, characteristic aroma. It is popularly used in cosmetic formulations such as body lotions, moisturizers, shampoo and conditioner. It can also be found in facial cleansers and household cleaning products. Not intended for ingestion.
Menthol Crystals (B4095) round out the list of discounted items in May. Solid at room temperature, menthol crystals are soluble in alcohol, but mostly insoluble in water and glycerin. This extremely concentrated material means only a small amount is necessary in formulations. They are used in a wide variety of cosmetic applications and consumer products. Menthol crystals are also used in soap making.
