We’ve recently added four new cleansing bases to our expanding catalog here at Jedwards International! Pre-formulated bases are a preferred way for small- and large-scale operations to create and sell personal-care products efficiently and cost effectively. They’re easy to use, require little machinery and equipment, and allow manufacturers of any size to produce large quantities of material.
Luxurious Soap Bases:
Two of these new products are melt and pour bases to produce custom bar soaps! Our newest Shea Butter base, a creamy and off-white to yellow material, provides naturally nourishing properties Soaps and cleansers are often formulated with this plant-based ingredient to sooth, hydrate, and condition the skin.
Our other additional new base is comprised of dried goats milk powder, a natural ingredient that offers exceptional moisturization. This base is whiter in color than our shea butter base and may be a preferred option for designing colored soaps.
These bases are designed to melt & pour into any mold of your choice. They can be easily customized with fragrance oils, pigments, exfoliants, and other common additives. Both bases are free of alcohol and parabens!
Sulfate Free Cleansers:
Sodium laurel sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) are two very common, effective surfactants found in cleansers and soaps. For many people with sensitive skin types, the cleansing power of these ingredients is a bit too strong and can lead to skin irritation and dryness. Sulfate-free options are a must for the cosmetic market and are soaring in strong demand.
Our two new sulfate-free bases cover head to toe: a Shampoo Base and a Body Wash Base. Both bases are light yellow in color with minimal aroma – ideal to take on fragrance, colorants, or other additives! These pre-preserved bases offer rich lather and foam. With glycerin and propylene glycol, these bases offer superior cleansing properties while helping the skin retain moisture. These bases only need to be diluted, add up to 2% of additives, and mix!
